i finished the book: The Hundredth Man by Jack Kerley!
i still dont get why it's the titled "the hundredth man", cause apparently, there's no 100 man beheaded in the story!
and so there's this pyscho on the loose beheading man and carving really weird words on the uhm, pubic area. and so the male lead consults his pycho-ish brother for advice who later died cause he commited suicide. it's really amazing how detectives crack cases haha i shall borrow more books like that :D shall not summarise the story haha cause it spoils the fun of a mystery if i do that.
anyway i read this part of the newspaper and it's just ridiculous on what the people expect from the hawkers. they expect quality service and complains about rude and ill mannered hawkers. i do admit there's a minority of them, BUT if you want quality service why dont you go to a restaurant where they have a 10% service surcharge? there's always a price to pay isn't it? and you can jolly compare the prices and the difference IS SO SIGNIFICANT. what would you expect from a plate of $3 chicken rice?
and the hawkers that i know are so warm hearted can. always giving extra food (maybe i too skinny issit haha no lah joking!)
